This kit in red is our kitty, the 20+ year old Suzie Q. She is very much in charge of her domain with a heavy paw... lol
This Beautiful Madame in the photo above is Becki's cat, the 20+ year-old, Suzie Q, who is posing and sitting pretty as a pro model. Even the known cat-haters have admitted that Suzie is the prettiest pussy they ever saw!! She takes all this admiration with an admirable coolness of a renowned and recognized beauty. Suzie is a mighty mixture of the cat personalities that The Purina, in their online site, describes as The Boss and The Diva. She holds the command in many ways: the goings and comings of hers are totally in her own control, she will NOT be bunged out. Nope - no way Jose!!
When Suzie gets a bit peckish at any hour day or night - one just has to oblige her Ladyship. Otherwise, she will bang the doors off their hinges. At least, she will try, and nobody but no body will get any sleep or peace until she is attended to. Suzie was adopted by Becki eighteen years ago, when the Pud would have been about two years of age. The neighbours, whose cat Suzie was originally, totally neglected her, and she was in a terrible state when we took her on. The vets bills were enormous at the time just to get her sorted so that she could be an indoor cat.
Ever since then Suzie Q has been an one woman cat - Becki's. She will hardly take any notice of me once the food is served on her dish and she will give me a polite nod for 'Thank you' if she feels like giving me some attention! At present, I do not take care of her as she still lives in Ireland and I am not. Becki has even taught her to sit down at command to get her dinner, and Suzie is only too happy to obey her favourite person on earth.
What a blessing to have her for so many years! My Gabby lived to be 19. We were together so long she knew me better than I knew myself. I had her for over half of my life.
Now I have two playful youngsters to love me and drive me crazy. As I type, one is trying to knock over the watering can, and the other is chasing shadows on the wall :)
I know that cats have their own way of living ,they obey but prefer to be obeyed.Your is a uniqe one with the unbelievable age and color. Mine is also ready.
That's awesome, Rii! I had a picture set for the contest, of the snow I snapped today. I turned it red in Photoshop and was going to use it until I saw an oldie I liked. And, it looked like bloody snow...a bit creepy, wouldn't you say???
Aw... She's lovely! I miss my cat so much. I'm thinking in getting one and bring it with me when I travel back to Egypt. I think cats are so special. Love your quote! lol
Your technical shot from this pic is excellent. Hahah the pussy cat looks so RED in the capture. Great take. Mine is up and happy valentine. Hey Mbak Riiiiii... I will have a new baby in around October 2008!
To be honest... the picture is kinda scare me. Looks like a piece of horror movie from Japan. But I have to admit, you make it looks so artful. What a talent you have there (^_^)v
Thx for stopping by at mine. Have a fun lovely weekend there (^_^)v
*chuckle* @ No way Jose... This is a cool take for this week's 'red' theme, Rii. I could see what you meant by she is a lady. *smile* I like the information you added too, as usual. Thank you for sharing and visiting mine... Have a grand weekend up there!
That's great!! I love cats...have two of my own, and they definitely rule the house!! As soon as the alarm goes off in the morning, they're scratchin' at the door wanting their snacks...and they don't stop until I get up...hehe! Loved the pic!! Thanks for stopping by my page to comment!!
Suzie is a princess so very unlike my favorite, Princess Grace... but a diva in red she definitely is. It sounds like you won't be cheek to cheek with Becki's cat anytime soon. :-) I love how you did that photo to match our theme.
Thank you for stopping by my entry (http://oarafn1.multiply.com/journal/item/24) and leaving such a nice compliment... I hope I won't disappoint. Have a wonderful weekend, Rii... see you again next time.
I came here earlier and got interrupted, so didn't get to leave a comment! Your Becki's cat is adorable, but I must admit, I've never seen one quite so red as this one. We had one much like her (not red - - a gray tabby), but she was an outdoor cat. She ruled our back yard, and any dachshunds we may have had during her tenure. Thanks for sharing Suzie with us!
thanks for your comment I thought I had allready given comment on this picture of yours It is beautiful this cat I like the photo very much Very beautiful Lady in Red
Hei Rii, Love your red kitty! He looks suspiciously like the cat across the street! I did a PPF for the first time this week using one of the ones I was going to use when Sean G had his photo contest and the topic was also "RED". Take good care - Big hugs!
Felines are funny ~ they get to come and go and be the Queens and Kings they were always meant to be and dogs are just big galoots! I miss having a cat!! Red Kitty is adorable and Mason would love her!
